AVM Group – Australian Vocational Management Group

AVM in Timor Leste

The AVM Group in Timor Leste

In Timor Leste, we have set up AVM Timor Leste to deliver international education and training to young Timorese population and help them become skilled professionals with employable expertise. Backed by the government and supported by prestigious international organisations such as World Bank, AVM Timor Leste aims to deliver vocational education with practical, job-ready skills — in trades like hospitality, aged care, mechanics, and ICT — to empower the Timor Leste youth to access jobs both locally and abroad.

A key component of our operation in Timor Leste is the delivery of Australian Certified Qualifications, ensuring that young Timorese gain industry- relevant expertise that meets global standards. By working closely with experienced educators and industry professionals, we will create a self-sustaining training ecosystem that produces a highly skilled workforce.

Beyond education and employment, our vision extends to tourism and economic development. As Timor-Leste continues to develop its tourism sector, there is a growing demand for professionals trained in hospitality and tourism management. By providing specialized training in these areas, we can help elevate service standards, enhance the nation’s appeal to international visitors, and attract new business and investment.

Driving Change in Timor-Leste

One Skilled Worker at a Time
Timor-Leste stands at a pivotal moment in its history, poised for a generational transformation that could redefine its future. This young nation, with its vibrant youth population, growing political stability, and vast untapped potential, is ready to chart a new course away from aid dependency towards a future built on skills, self-reliance, and global opportunity.
The Model of Sustainable Impact at the heart of this program is based on a simple yet powerful premise: the benefits of training and employing one individual abroad extend far beyond that
person, positively impacting their family, village, and ultimately, the entire nation.
Here's how this model works:
